I love cooking and trying new recipes which due to not having anything else to do I need lockdown I now look decidedly ‘big boned’ as my mum would say Hmm

I don’t want to follow a strict diet but try to eat more veg and less carbs and Cake Grin

Tell me your go to recipe books please.

Not recipe books but websites. Smitten kitchen is good
Also try the vegetarian section of bbc goodfood and once upon a chef has some great salads

I can recommend the Dr's Kitchen cookbooks. I have two - including 3-2-1. Tasty, cook-able a lot of veg and on the lower carb side.

I actually find the Hairy Bikers Lighter stuff good for this

Hairy dieters. Hearty food but with fewer calories eg using pizza dough instead of pastry to make pies.

I am also looking 'big boned' at the moment.... I really like the pinch of nom books, and I got one called the roasting tin, I think there are three and I've got the quick and easy one it looks great, trying the first recipe from it tomorrow

Thanks everyone, I’ve just been looking at your suggestions, I’m liking the look of the Dr’s Kitchen, lots of things I haven’t tried before. I had a quick look at Smitten and will go back to have another look and Hairy Bikers is great for everyday meals.

The Green Roasting Tin: Vegan and Vegetarian One Dish Dinners

I have tried a couple of recipes from this book and found it good.

Ruth Watson’s Fat Girl Slim is excellent.

Pinch of nom, any of them

Diana Henry - all her books are absolutely amazing but A Change Of Appetite is rightly subtitled "where delicious meets healthy". Genuinely delicious and hundreds of ideas in there
