What’s Happening In Your House?

How’s your Friday night going? I’ve had a positive day. And I got the cracked screen on my old phone fixed so that I can sell it. There’s a steak & ale pie in the oven which DH & I will have with mash, peas & white cabbage. DD has already had macaroni cheese. I didn’t do the housework I planned but DH cleaned the bathroom so I don’t need to worry about that. I carved out some time to play the piano & record some tunes, including original pieces. So thankful that I have this gift. Looking forward to another episode of The Bay & Corrie later.

DS is shouting talking to friends online in his bedroom. DH is listening to an audio book and mooching about doing odds and ends. I'm sitting on the sofa contemplating a nap before my night shift. DCat is sat on the dining table trying to guilt DH into feeding her. DPuppies are both asleep - we had DDog1 PTS last week and they're both still terribly out of sorts

My son is staying the night with my friend who provides my childcare, my first child free night since December 2019!

Productive week despite my second round of covid (the first was much worse)
Decluttered, cleaned and tidied. The washing basket is empty. I feel almost serene and zen like.

We had jacket potatoes and chilli for tea earlier. DH is putting DS1 to bed, I’ve just come down from putting DS2 down. I’ve tidied the toys up, now I’m sat down with a large bar of mint aero and Bridgerton. A rather lovely Friday evening in lockdown.

DH and DS are chatting.

I’ve just eaten a warm ginger muffin. And I’m about to stop doing Dry January as it’s been one of those weeks.

Me, dog and dd are on the sofa, she is on Roblox. Dp is in the armchair and we have a survival programme on we are all half watching. Just eaten an Indian takeaway

I've just made and eaten scones and I'm now stuffed. Teenagers are still asking for something else later though! Earlier we watched Sean of the Dead together and before that I listened to The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse on BBC sounds - it was lovely. Now about to tackle the very messy kitchen.

DD(17) is upstairs with a glass of wine watching something on Netflix with her mates. They have found some programme/setting whereby you watch it together and can see each other watching and each other’s comments. How great is that? DH and I have a fire going, a glass of wine, I’m reading and he is going to watch something on Sky.

Ds2 came home from work about half an hour ago so he is chatting away. He never stops!!!!

Dd, ds and dh are watching Netflix but I'm too tired and want to go to bed and read.

Waiting for ds16 to come in from football practice. It's just started tipping it down so I think they'll be let go early.

I've had a bath, wine, homemade pizza and now I'm under a blanket with the dcs watching a film with coffee and chocolate. Pretty good Friday night all in all.

OH, his 2 boys (11 & 9) my 2 boys (13 & 9) and I are all sat squished on 2 sofas and a bean bag in the living room. OH is playing on his PC with my eldest and his youngest glued to the screen (lots of dinosaurs) OHs eldest and my youngest are playing Minecraft on the PS4. I'm scrolling on my phone and enjoying a rare night of all being together and everyone getting along, before our first baby and only girl arrives in approx 3wks and we're knackered and have even less space. Its one of our better Fridays and my first on maternity leave.

Our friends do a live Facebook gig every Friday so we're watching that and having a few drinks and a singalong.

We’ve had to change plans for food as butcher has a case of covid so they are not open. We’ve had fish with chips, DS2 made prawn soup for his lunch and just had some crisps. DH, myself and DS1 watched the second episode of The Bay. Now I’ve come upstairs to read, DS2 is talking to friends whilst playing PS5, DS1 is watching a film. DH and dog are downstairs watching football.

Dc gone to bed after a good day's homeschooling and then Minecrafting.

I'm on the settee, watching TV and scrolling mindlessly through my phone.

I'm in my bed with Ddog, electric blanket on, just about to watch a film.

10yo finishing up his school day. Toddler giving me instructions and whipping up some tamales (the fake imaginary kind). I just wiped the stove top down. Friend coming over later to watch a movie outside. So that will be nice (USA so no rules where I am basically)

Both DSs (4 and 7) have been asleep since 7pm. They're up at 6 every day so need their sleep.

DH went out and got us a Chinese which was perfect as usual and we watched mega old unsolved mysteries episodes on Amazon prime.

Now in bed, DH slipped on black ice this morning so I've volterol'd his back and now going to read until time for sleep. Am shattered. It's been a long long week.

I sound so old and I'm only 39!

Nothing much:
DS is listening to a book, DD is reading having finished her uni assignments, DH is working and zooming and I had a busy day running errands for all and sundry. Medical masks are compulsory from Sunday so I made sure we are stocked up.
Now I sit here doing nothing.

I got my first veg box delivered today so had to figure out how to cook celeriac for dinner. Never had it before...not sure I will be having it again.

Chilling out with a glass of lovely red wine 🍷 and watching would I lie to you with DH. DS watching Footie upstairs

Toddler DS went off nice and early, so got to enjoy peaceful grown-up dinner with DH. Have done my daily walk and yoga so feel relaxed in my body. DH just lit the stove, we're about to watch the new (and final) series of Engrenages. Feeling thankful that I get to live in a happy home!

It's only 5pm here, DH is WFH in the basement, DD1 (12) just finished a ringfit workout and has disappeared to play Minecraft online with friends. DD2 (8) is about to play on the switch, I am sitting on the sofa with laptop doing bugger all. Just living the online life here.

I'm on the recliner with a gin and lemonade. Cooked 2 toast chickens earlier, shredded them. Froze 2 bags worth and used the rest for roast dinner with hm roasters, yorkies, carrots, parsnip and onion. Leftovers bagged and frozen. Chicken jelly bagged for stew in the week.
I'm getting cold so may go to bed.
DD is building a house on roblox upstairs.
Mr. Is next to me with beer and xbox.

Did you have 2 positive tests and how long between them? Glad you are feeling better.
