Returning to work after long term sickness

I recently returned to work after been off work for 12 months. In the time I was off a lot changed obviously with Covid but also new staff, new manager and a whole new computer system.
I am finding it really difficult at the moment, I don't feel like part of the team anymore and I feel as if my manager thinks I'm just a burden to the company with my illness.

Oh dear sorry you are finding re-entry hard, I think it is bound to be difficult after such a long time off.

How long have you been back? Have you had much support? Are occupational health involved?

@AnneLovesGilbert I have been back 3 weeks. I spoke to OH back in August they suggested a phased return which I am doing.

You say a lots changed and I think you have to accept that and not expect to slot straight back in to the way you used to feel. It’s almost as though you’re the new girl again, new staff to get to know and new manager. Give it some more time. Youve only been back 3 weeks.
