Help me entertain a 1 year old? Isolating

Hi, day 2 of isolation with DH and 1 year old.

We have no one to go the shops for us to buy anything we need.

We're struggling to keep DS entertained, he's teething and not napping through the day so he's very frustrated.

We don't mind him watching tv with us, but it's not ideal and we limit it as much as we can.

We have no felt tips, pens or paint and no flour to make play dough as DH binned it 😬

Any messy play ideas? Or ideas to keep entertained?

Normally we'd go for a walk etc so this is quite a challenge being in all day every day

Idea 1) make Rice Krispie cakes

Never done this before with DS, could be fun or could be a disaster

Shaving foam for messy play?

Have you tried Baby Club on iPlayer? DD is one and has been enjoying an episode of this every day.

Oh you poor love, that is rough!

Play Hooray have lots of ideas for keeping little ones occupied, have a look. playhooray.co.uk/pages/lockdown

Specifically for messy play, we do well with a big tray of water on the floor with washing up liquid in it for bubbles, or with oil drops in it to swoosh about. Lentils, dry pasta or rice work well too. Good luck!
