Lighthearted thread but I still want some serious input!

I want my mum to get chance to be MOB and my dad to be fit enough to come.

I'm single. I'm gay. I have a lovely ex who I am considering reconciling with but whom I split with for valid reason.

I dont want to be alone and old. I'm an only child. I want a wedding. I've was in a very abusive relationship until 3 ish years ago. I only came out to family two years ago.

If you were on this 'mission' WWYD? Smile

Ive got a decent job, decent assets.. I dont want to be used (again)

I'm a qualified MH therapist. even though I probably sound mad--

No children. Just feeling like I want someone in my life.

As I've said, this is lighthearted (I'm at work at the moment)! But any input welcome and yes I've name changed :)

I would not set myself a rigid time limited specific goal in middle of COVID
You really are fantasising and projecting your angst onto a someone anyone you want to save you
No one else can fix you, a baby won’t fix you. You don’t need someone you need something

Reconnect with people you used to know (old school friends/ work/ hobby etc). All of them.

Sign up RIGHT NOW to married at first sight, first dates (ideally both) actually sign up for any reality TV show

Set up a website or GoFundMe with your quest to get married in 6 months and sell the story to local radio/ TV/ newspapers. If you can be extra specific and be looking for someone who's name begins with the letter R or something equally specific they'll love your story even more

Ask your parents to organise it for you through their network of friends offspring.

Is online dating any good? Sometimes you just have to stick with it until somebody ace comes along. No success for six months doesn’t mean no success ever..

The lesbian pool of decent people is like the one for straight people in OLD. But much, much smaller Grin

Dear god, do NOT do any of these things!

I’m 36 and single.. my only thought I’ve had for me (whilst doing absolutely nothing to find someone currently) is to throw money at the problem ie dating websites that cost money so less likely to have people who aren’t committed.

Now that someone has said try First Dates or a TV show like that.. you never know it could be interesting! (Don’t sign up for Naked Attraction!)

Theshelfisboring · 21/01/2021 23:56

gggreargh I have used all of them. Again as a gay woman nobody on there really. All I did was waste my money :( I still feel sad about that- heteros have better luck, hope you do!

Well, my body is pretty good... I'd like someone to appreciate it while It lasts (but not the whole of the world so no) Grin
