DS was sick on our bedroom carpet this morning. DP assured me he cleaned it all up. We've just come to bed and the smell is making me heave. Help! Quick fix ideas for tonight and more practical solutions for the morning please Confused

Baking soda sprinkled into the offending area, give it a good few minutes then vacuum it up.

Dr Beckmann carpet cleaner (the one with the brush head) we've removed sick from DD' carpet several times. Really works (also good for felt tip on the sofa).

Bicarbonate of soda. Mix with water and leave on the carpet for a while. It may not clear the smell completely first time, so keep sprinkling it onto the carpet and then hoover it up.

Bi-carb mixed with water to wash the area.
Then sprinkle bi-carb and hoover it up if needed.

@DaisyChainsForever Thankfully it was just a haphazard swipe, rather than a purposeful doodle. Dr Beckmann is a winner.

Pet shops do excellent odour remover for carpets in case of pet accidents. The key thing to look for is that the product breaks down enzymes cause that’s what causes the lingering smell.
