Have you ever ruined a book / film / TV show by association?

I did it with Monsters Inc by watching it when I had chicken pox (as an adult), with a bad fever and it seemed relentlessly dark and horrifying.

I've just realised I did it again with the book Interview with a Vampire. I starting reading it when I was ill in bed when I had Covid earlier in the year and there's stuff in there about plague and now I can't pick it up again without feeling totally doom laded.

This is meant to be lighthearted, so please don't post if there is something you find upsetting to relive.

My waters broke while watching inception and then got through the early parts of labour watching one of the Resident Evil films - never watched either of them again 😂

I should add I’m a massive Christopher Nolan fan and rewatch most of his films - it obviously affected me more than I realised!

Oh no @citycitycity! But you have just reminded me I got rid of some books I'd taken into hospital to have DD. It was awful and I didn't even want to see them! I also chucked / donated everything I wore...

I have just remembered another one - sort of. It is not something I have ruined per se, but the music from Baby Jake or Me Too! takes me right back to when DD used to get up at 4am every day and I'd wait blearily until 6am to put Cbeebies on.
