Has anyone been to Great Yarmouth on holiday and would you recommend? We are tentatively looking at going in June with our 4 year old. I have never been to Norfolk and would appreciate any insights. We are considering staying at either Parkdean or Hoseasons. Thanks!

Ahh i feel so nostalgic now, my parents used to take us on holiday to GY every year in the 90's. Such fond memories of the pleasure beach, joyland (especially the snail ride) and all the arcades lit up at night. Plus visiting Pleasurewood Hills in Lowestoft for the day.

Although if i was to go back now as an adult, id probably love it for the nostalgia but also think it was a right dump Grin

God no it's awful.

If you do go gorleston beach is nice, hopton holiday park has a decent pool and direct beach access and Africa Alive and bewildered wood are worth visits.

Redwings animal sanctuary is lovely too
