Frying steak - what to do with it?

I bought a shit tonne of meat from Bury market and in one of the bundles there's quite a bit of frying steak which I've never bought or cooked before.

Can anyone give me any ideas of what to do with it apart from just frying it?

Fajitas (with the usual onions, peppers etc)
Steak sandwiches (cook in one piece then slice into strips)
Stroganoff - cook sliced onions until v soft, add mushrooms and paprika, then strips of frying steak until just cooked, then sour cream or creme fraiche

Stir fried strips of it.

Thought of stir fry and fajitas after I typed my OP, I'm liking the sound of stroganoff, thank you

Fried with Mushrooms, spinach and cherry tomatoes with garlic and lots of salt and pepper.

Stir fried with tender stem broccoli, peepers and chilli with lots of soy sauce served with rice or noodles. Best if you fry the whole steak separately with seasoning and then slice thinly once cooked.

Use in tacos of fajitas

Stir fry, sandwiches etc. One way I do it is cut into strips, dip in corn flour and flash fry

Would it hold up to slow cooking do you think or would I end up with shoe leather?

I was going to say Stir fry

Fajitas is a good idea too

My mum would cook frying steak in the oven in tinfoil with onions and butter for hours on a low heat.
It was delicious.

I wouldn't slow cook it. There's no need - it's delicious cooked really quickly so it's still slightly pink. I don't think it would be that nice slow cooked.

Thanks, I'll stick with fajitas, stir fry and stroganoff - there's plenty for all three Smile
