Does cat vomit usually smell?

My cats have vomited in the past and I've never noticed a smell before. One has just vomited in my bedroom (cheers cat) and it stinks. If I hadn't heard her doing it I'd have thought she might have pooed 🤮. Is the smell likely because it's fresh, or do I need to get her to the vet?

Owner of two elderly cats here and have never noticed any smell from their vomit. I think that if it smells it might be a sign of some intestinal problem that needs treating? Maybe have a word with your Vet this morning? Good luck OP. Hope your cat is ok..
