Teeth need brightening as I'm a smoker. What have you tried? Did they work?

Hygienist here

Stop smoking - if you carry on smoking everything else you do is pointless

See a dentist to get them whitened. You need the professional bleach plus possibly some restorative work / cosmetic fillings

IMO whitening toothpastes don’t do much Especially for smokers as the nicotine soaks into the teeth
See a hygienist as it’s likely that you’ll need a deep clean and help with flossing or interdental cleaning

It’s important to remember that in the U.K. it’s illegal for anyone without a dental degree or the appropriate dental training to carry whitening - it is breaking the law
Hairdressers and beauticians are operating outside the law if they do bleaching - they can and are prosecuted for that

Thank you. I do I tend to stop. It's ruined my teeth. I was also considering Vaneers or composite bonding bit CB is not suitable for smokers. I really need to stop.

Oh shit. I've posted in the wrong place. Will get it moved. Suppose it's better than the usual doom and gloom

nothing sold over the counter in the UK works - beauty product packages are expertly worded to hide the lies. This is because whitening needs a competent professional.

You can buy stuff from America where the 'horse with a piano in its mouth' look is considered attractive. I wouldn't fuck up your teeth if I were you, and certainly not in a pandemic when dentistry presents a risk.

basically - what the hygienist said.
