I think dh eyesight is worse than he realises ,just lately i have got several
Items out of cupboard that are not clean , just got colander out and was washing some veg , felt grainy and when i looked , has dried up mash ,i can only assume from a couple weeks ago or may be starch from rice that we had last week. So i had to put in dishwasher.
Its seems if he handwashes then leaves to dry and put away he just doesn't notice and driving me mad.
Short of letting him of the washing up ( we have dishwasher so only was some by hand)
I suppose best thing would be do get him to rewash everything when I find it, he claims its not him but generally he puts the bits away on drainer whilst I do dishwasher ,
We don't use tea towels just tend to let things dry then put away , maybe he would notice more if he was drying with a tea towel ?

If it was eye sight problem then you would see it elsewhere, like needing a brighter light to read or changing the distance he sits from the TV / monitor / PS4.

My guess it’s that it’s strategic incompetence.

He can't read a menu anymore and uses glasses when on laptop.
So his eyesight isn't what it was but still just needs to check a little better

So he uses glasses on the laptop but not when he’s washing the dishes. I wonder why.

I’m one of the 2/3 of women who wear glasses and I can still clean up ok.

But then I don’t have anyone to go around redoing my chores if I do then badly.

I do remember one day, my dad, the 'Tetrion' king has put back a cup he had the stuff in!

Can he not feel the grainy texture? If he's putting stuff away he should have washed his hands previously anyway, so why not just run a finger over it?
