Is your gas and electricity bill higher than usual?

My gas and electricity bill has increased by almost GBP 30. I'm wondering if it is because it's winter or the bill in general has increased or etc.

My gas has increased in the last few months but as it has been cold and snowy I have had the heating on more. The electricity bill has stayed much the same

Are you going by actual usage? I give monthly meter readings and i get an up to date balance and how much I've used and the cost.

Yep, I have a smart meter and being at home all the time is massively impacting my energy usage.

Ours has increased by £40 and that's mainly electric. The electric costs way more than gas, atleast I'm not frightened to put the heating on.

It's gone up. Pretty much always have someone at home at all times at the moment (except for daily exercise). So the heating is on more and we are using more electricity charging devices, making lunches, lights are on more etc. Usually we wouldn't be home anywhere near as much, even at the weekend.

Are you WFH now? Or children home instead of at school? Our twins went to Uni last October and our bills halved. No boasting, it’s just a simple fact of 2 people instead of 4. A lot of households have the opposite due to restrictions.

Yes. Using about £5 a day more currently.
