Has anyone successfully ordered from N ew C hic website?

DC rarely asks for anything clothes wise but has set their heart on an item on the website ( from an ad on Instagram)
Reviews seen very, very mixed.
It’s not hugely expensive but I’m always anxious about buying online from potentially dodgy companies.

You have to watch out for Chinese companies who sell cheap, but then you receive an item that looks different from the photo. The quality is often poor as well. Sometimes the item doesn't even turn up. It's difficult to get your money back as well. There are a lot of these scam websites around.

If there are numerous poor reviews, I'd be inclined to believe them. The good reviews are often written by the website themselves.

Find out where the company is based, although the Chinese scammers go to great lengths to conceal where the goods are actually coming from and will even use a middle man country.

I've had a look and it is one of those rubbish Chinese sites. There is no address or returns section either. If you can afford to lose the money then give it a go, but be prepared to have your details sold on the Web. PayPal would be safer than giving them credit card details as well.

Thanks-that’s my gut feeling as well. It’s quite an alternative piece so can't find anything remotely similar!

Have you had a look on Etsy? They sell lots of alternative type clothing.

I did order a wallet from new chic a couple of years ago via Pinterest. It arrived OK and was reasonable quality for the money but the zip ended up breaking. I would concur that its a rubbish Chinese site and I got lucky.
