Spilled water onto a socket and it's tripped some of the sockets.....

My dog escaped when the poor guy from Hermes opened the front door to leave my parcel in the porch. I was in the middle of filling the kitchen sink when he yelled through that my dog had gone, I panicked and went after him. Took both of us a good 10 minutes to catch him but when I came back the electricity in the kitchen had gone off, also the porch and landing, (other parts of the house are fine) and the water from the sink was still running, I'd accidentally left a flannel and sponge in the middle drain so the water was over flowing from the sink, onto the counter top and then behind the wall, directly onto the washing machine socket. I've dried what I can but should I switch off all electricity to the entire house before unplugging everything or is it safe to do this with just electricity to the kitchen switched off?
I've tried calling my usual electrician for advice but his phone keeps going to voicemail, my DM is trying to get a hold of her friend who's also an electrician, so I thought I'd ask if anyone has some experience here.

You are fine with just the kitchen circuit off. The breaker has done it's job.

Socket now needs drying out before trying to switch back on, though.

Sorry, just seen this was yesterday at 17:48.

Hopefully someone has sorted you out, OP. Grin
