I used to live there and it was OK. It's a fairly safe and friendly place to live. My friend lives there now and there's an increase in the number of houses being built there.

It's a village so there isn't much in the way of amenities. Llantrisant is a short drive away. It's ok if you drive but not so great if you don't. The traffic gets quite heavy during rush hour, particularly heading to and from Cardiff.

When I split from my ex I moved towards Caerphilly as the housing was cheaper and access to Cardiff were better.

35barberousbarbara thankyou, for your message. I live in a small village now so kinda used to that. I do drive. My daughter will be going to college close (Cardiff). It's 20 mins on a buds apparently. I work in Newport.
It's such a big change isn't it? How did you find the change/move? How's Caerphilly?

I live in a village outside Caerphilly and love it here. I bought purely due to cost but I accidentally made the right decision.

The A470 and M4 get very busy during rush hours. I used to travel to Cardiff at 7pm and it would take 30 minutes in and 45-50 minutes back (at 4pm). One of the reasons I moved to Caerphilly is the journey times are better. From what I can remember the bus service from Llanwit Fardre to Cardiff takes at least 40 minutes when there's no traffic.

Good luck with your move.
