I've done shifts for years and am going to miss my days off in the week and time to catch up with jobs!

Any tips for making things run smoothly until o get into a routine? ☺️

The obvious for me is to batch cook. So the motto make one freeze one.
Don't waste a whole Saturday cooking but if you happen to make a curry - double it

I often pick up a cooked chicken on the wash home. Lovely with crusty bread and salad. Enough chicken to have with a stir fry the next night.

Plenty of uniforms (when we were at school)

I grocery shop on a Sunday for the week.

I try not to bok anything in for Sunday afternoon, then while cooking the Sunday dinner (not always roast), I also try to cook a couple of dinners and/or lunches for the week as well as getting the weekly planner up to date and having as much prepped as possible.

I try to do an hour of jobs every night that would otherwise build up and be left til the weekend. Especially now that there's no other commitments in the evenings. So an hour of DIY, putting washing away, cleaning or something. (Probably everyone else does this already but I find once I'm home after 6, dogs walked, tea cooked etc I just want to chill and got into a bad habit of watching 2 hours of TV a night when I used to only have 1!)

Also groceries delivered. Haven't been for a big shop in over 5 years and it's changed my life.
