Share with me your recent retail therapy.

I bought these fairy lights from Cable and Cotton. I love the glow they've bought to my kitchen.

@Subtleknife

Some cheapish ear buds from Amazon, they have changed my life I listen to podcasts on walks and in supermarkets (I'm the crazy looking one laughing out loud in the bread aisle 😅) Also twinnings superblends sleep tea, delish
Do you have a link? My AirPods have stopped working properly and I’m even more bored on the interminable walks than before.
squishedblueberry · 18/01/2021 09:22

A peloton Blush the most speedy purchase we’ve ever made aside from our house! But I was missing my regular spin and my mental health was terrible and it’s made SUCH a difference

A super soft hoody from a really colourful independent business that just brings me joy every time I wear it

Some gorgeous pjs from Matalan that are thin but warm and just the right amount slouchy with a lovely print

Beauty Pie Super Healthy Skin moisturiser and Ro’s Argan from Lush that you use in shower, I have the smoothest skin I’ve ever had!

A Papier Daily Productivity Planner with a foiled constellation design on the front - its making organisation a pleasure!

Imissmoominmama · 18/01/2021 09:25

@AuntieDolly- I love that!

Imissmoominmama · 18/01/2021 09:27

Merino base layers... and over layers! I walk a lot, but I’m going through the menopause and sweat like a horse. These keep me comfortable and stink free.

squashyhat · 18/01/2021 09:30

Not something for me but a head torch for DH for Christmas which has quickly become THE essential piece of household kit. No more trying to juggle torches and screwdrivers, or peering under the sink or down a drain or into the loft with no hope of seeing anything. I've also 'borrowed' it for sewing and painting. Game changer Grin

I have also discovered my local library's (free!) audiobook collection and can now walk the same boring route every day in the company of anyone I choose.

LooneyLovefood · 18/01/2021 09:32

A Bluetooth headphone headband so I can play Headspace every night to get to sleep without disturbing DH and it also drowns out his snoring.

Some felt and embroidery thread so I could make tree decorations for Christmas gifts. It kept me sane through the whole of December.

I got given a weighted blanket for Christmas and I love it, it's really helped me sleep through the night much better.

Off to buy the embroidery hoops mentioned by PPs....

Champagneforeveryone · 18/01/2021 09:33

ChampagneCat, arrived a few months ago and has been worth every penny of the £100 adoption fee. She's not so amazing at helping with WFH which is new to both of us this morning - one of us is enjoying it a lot more than the other Grin

I've got these little espresso cups which have different colours inside. Oh the job of contrasting these colours with the colour of the liquid you put inside them. Purple contrasted with strawberry milkshake is wonderful.

Coffeeandcocopops · 18/01/2021 09:37

An embroidery kit - it even came with the the frame. First time I’ve sewn since I left school. From a tiny website called Dorset Home Crafting.

UpShutTheFuck · 18/01/2021 09:39

@AuntieDolly

That's a beautiful print.

If you aren't familiar with her, check out Anita Klein. Your print reminded me of some of her work.

BrassicaBabe · 18/01/2021 09:52

Beautiful cat @Champagneforeveryone

Cashmere socks, from Kiltane. Pure luxury and comfort for my trotters. I got a pair at Christmas and loved them so ordered 3 more pairs. Worth every penny.

MacDuffsMuff · 18/01/2021 10:00

A KitchenAid stand mixer. I am happiest when I'm baking in the kitchen and it is a thing of absolute beauty too.

hotcrosswhat · 18/01/2021 10:01

A hayu subscription so I can watch lots of guilty pleasure reality TV shows Blush this was especially good while I had terrible morning/all day/all night sickness and wasn't fit for much else!!

Subtleknife · 18/01/2021 10:01

They aren't fancy but I can do webinars, calls and listen to podcasts. They even stay in running when I wear a headband over top

LaBellina · 18/01/2021 10:02

My lovely new bag. Recently I decided to build up a wardrobe in more neutral colours such as black, (dark) blue and grey and then I found this lovely addition.

DS16 hit rock bottom over Xmas, he was desperate to go back to school and eventually opened up to me about how he was feeling. We had a chat about taking on a challenge over this lockdown. He told me that he wanted to try and teach himself to play the guitar. I was straight onto Amazon.
He has made steady progress and makes a decent sound. His mood has improved and he is smiling again. Joy!

50shadesoflunacy · 18/01/2021 10:30

Thanks for the online plant recommendations folks Flowers

OnNaturesCourse · 18/01/2021 10:32

A paw patrol tower... Im 9 months pregnant and this toy entertains the toddler for hours.

Goingtothebudgies · 18/01/2021 10:50

I've grown cape gooseberries from seed, inside. They grow very quickly and look fabulous. And you can eat the fruit (delicious).

AllTheChocolateNow · 18/01/2021 10:54

I bought some hoodies and jumpers for homeworking, in light, spring colours I’d never usually wear.

Pre-covid I didn’t wear loungewear or sportswear at all - was a dresses and heels kinda gal - and almost always wore black, so I’m excited about embracing Spring comfort!

Lockdownshmockdown · 18/01/2021 10:59

Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser
Lindt dark chocolate with sea salt
Heated throw
Beeswax candles (always keep stocked up with these)
Macramé to hang some plants at my kitchen window
A teeny tiny hot water bottle for my cat

Chimeraforce · 18/01/2021 11:05

Some grey 50mm wide wood effect venetian blinds for the kitchen. Due mid Feb.
They replace the cream argos roller blind that's been up for 15 years.

PattyPan · 18/01/2021 11:18

I bought a cordless stick vacuum yesterday and I already love it - got it out of the box and ran it around straight away!

I have a granny trolley too although it’s not a new purchase. They are so underrated!

Re plants, I’ve bought them from the RHS, Thompson & Morgan and Primrose and they’ve all turned up in good condition.
