Strange lump on my thumb!

It feels quite firm , not sure if it's filled with fluid. Been there for a few months now. Not painful.
Should I just ignore it?
FYI I'm a man.

Ganglion?

“A ganglion cyst is a fluid-filled swelling that usually develops near a joint or tendon. The cyst can range from the size of a pea to the size of a golf ball.”

They used to say smash is with a massive book. Not so much any more.

Reminds me (a bit uncharitably 😂) of an occasion 5 years ago.

I do MRI. Nearby is a prison where some of the inmates would pull any excuse for a trip out. So this bloke arrives, clinical is 'lump on dorsum (back) of wrist.? Ganglion, ? Cancer'... 🙄

In he walks, 'Look, here it is!' (Bends wrist as ganglions disappear on a flat wrist).

The three of us go 'Oh, like these?' -as we also bend our wrists to demonstrate ganglions! 😂

So probably not fatal then Smile

Do you still have it @GreenHam? I have the same and was wondering how long until it goes of its own accord.
