Anyone conceive after 42 following chemical pregnancies?

Hi everyone,
I am looking for some cheering up today! I am 42 and been trying to conceive for the last 8 months. I’ve had 3 chemicals in the last 4 cycles. So hard to get excited then have hopes dashed yet again.

Assume my eggs are mostly rubbish now :-(.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else my age has been through similar and ended with a good outcome?

I am blessed at least to have a 2 year old now (also many miscarriages leading up to him) but would dearly love him to have a sibling.

Hi, sorry to hear about your losses. I am 42, had a mc at 9 weeks in august and chemical today. Hoping to conceive again soon. How are you getting on? X

Hi. Gosh it sounds like we’re in the same boat 😞. So tough isn’t it? Really sorry to hear about your miscarriage and just finding out about a chemical. I hope too you manage to conceive again soon 🤞.
I am in the 2ww currently though not feeling confident! I am taking Metformin and Letrazole under a consultant (due to PCOS) though not sure either of those things are likely to help.
Sending hugs 🤗. Take care.

Thank you, I’m actually feeling ok, I knew it was going to happen, my pregnancy tests weren’t progressing, so I protected my heart and was realistic from the start. I’m now relieved and ready to get back on it next ovulation. Good luck to you ❤️ I’m here if you need to chat, keep me posted X

Hello, I am nearly 41 and have a 2 year old. We have been trying for another since she was 18 months and had no joy except a very early miscarriage a year ago.
I have been to my GP this month and had blood tests but still waiting to hear any results.
I'm still hoping we will be lucky enough to give my daughter a sibling but it's getting so wearing having AF show up without fail every single month!

Hi LadyWhistledown.
I tried to reply to you the day you messaged but I couldn’t send the message for some reason.
How did your blood tests go? I hope you get some answers or better, BFP soon 🤞. It sounds like you’ve had a long wait. I feel your pain.
No luck for me yet. My heart tells me it just isn’t going to happen for us. We’re going to stop trying at the end of this year as my husband will be 48 and he says that’s too old! Nothing like pressure of a deadline 🤦🏻‍♀️.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you and all the other ladies in the same boat. X
