The sun is shining here too. About to get up and have coffee as I’ve spent too long lazing one bed with my phone.
We’re planning a long walk late morning when everyone’s up and ready.
We’re getting dinner ready early so we can just shove chicken and veg in the oven when we get back and relax with screens and books.

Also going to bake today again
Lost my baking mojo of late but made a lovely elderflower and lemon drizzle cake yesterday

Sun is out here too.
Just had a plate of homemade lentil and bacon soup for lunch(yum) and now just sitting with a cup of tea. Heading out later to play tennis with DH.
Looking forward to roast chicken Sunday dinner later on.

Just had a lovely bath with my posh stuff I was saving for best.
Put some makeup on. I look passable.
Got a new sweater on. Again I was saving it for best.
Had lovely, healthy food.
Am on Day 17 of Dry January and feeling great.
Making a roast dinner.
Granddaughter here later. Am going to take her out on her bike to tire her out.
Have a great day everyone.
The best is yet to come.

Hello!

I am back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks off, I cannot remember any of my passwords. Grin

Nothing really exciting happening. Need to go to the supermarket but keep putting it off.

Nice thread.
I’m finishing a book before considering tackling the ironing ( notice the word considering!)
Then going for a short walk simply because I need some fresh air.
Roast chicken dinner here too. I’m not too shy to say I do a lovely roast chicken.
Zoom calls later with family abroad
Hopefully my parcel containing completely unnecessary boots and blouse will arrive as it’s due today but it’s Hermes so anything could happen....

It's also been a lovely sunny morning here.

Went for a walk around the local lake. It is very urban but teeming with wildlife. We saw 3 different types of geese and tufted ducks amongst other things.

Came home and made leek, potato and spinach soup which we had with some bread that dh and dd made yesterday.

About to have a nice hot shower and wash my hair then do a few jobs.

A nice Sunday!

greyinganddecaying · 17/01/2021 13:01

I'm about to start cooking our roast dinner - the one meal I know everyone will eat!

Also planning out my work space - I've been squeezed into the spare/junk room for a year now, so am going to clear out some stuff we're not using & make it into a nice space.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 17/01/2021 13:03

Veg prepped and meat in the slow cooker
DH is having a weird cleaning frenzy and I have started the crossword
Will drag the cherubs out for a walk in a bit

I've just sprayed myself with a tuberose perfume, which is reminding me that Spring is around the corner, with it's warmer, earlier dawns, bright birdsong, and green everywhere. So that's good.

I'm bracing myself to go out and buy interesting food. Bracing myself because I can't quite think of what might constitute 'interesting'.
