Looking nice with no time to yourself

How do you do it?!

I used to take pride in my appearance, but since my DC was born that has gone out of the window, never more so than the last year - which I have spent locked down with a toddler.

Like everyone at the moment, I currently have zero time to myself, and I am stressed and knackered. I don’t know why it should come as a shock to me that I look fucking awful a little thrown together under these circumstances, but to all of you ladies who manage to look lovely and glossy and well groomed even when dressed down, in practical gear, running round after DC - what are the little things that make a difference? How do you achieve a nice casual look?

Please share your wisdom - clothes, hair, skincare, anything..! Grin

I'd also like to know the answer to this, I have a 3 year old and a 10 month old. I do my make up in the morning but by 10am always looking bedraggled, hair has been scraped up by this point, whispy bits that's the baby has snapped poking out either side of my ears, kids breakfast stains on me...!!

I have 3 under 5 and I don't bother right now.

With only one toddler just whack cbeebies on for 15 mins surely?

Thousandmiles · 16/01/2021 21:51

Trust me it would take more than 15 minutes to pull it back at this stage..! Grin I was thinking more general stuff - types of clothes that are flattering when thrown on.. ways of doing hair etc. I can easily do my old style of hair and make up in a rush job but it doesn’t suit my lifestyle and ends up looking shot-at after an hour, like @hermionieweasley says!

I have 3 kids 6,5 and 1 and although I don't wear make up I blow dry my hair and make sure it's presentable and I always get my eyebrows henna and Russian lashes to look and feel a bit better about myself ,minimal upkeep once done aswell x

@Disneymum1993 Ooh interesting thanks, this is the kind of thing I mean! How often do you have to get your lashes done?
