I'm trying to help someone come up with a brand name. She sells handmade lip oil and glosses, bath bombs etc. Needs to be an available name as we have both thought up loads and everything is taken! Thank you in advance!Smile

@Bearnecessity Thank you! Sadly that one's taken already. If you think of anymore, keep throwing them into the ring!Grin

@Tiktokersmiracle Thank you, I like that one too but unfortunately, anything with "face" in it has been taken! It's so frustrating!

When coming up with brand names you really need to focus on the brand identity and your ideal client do you can name it accordingly. The wrong babe won't appeal to your target audience and can put people off. Branding is quite scientific. It might be worth giving some more info so that we have a better idea who your key consumer would be?

CandyLeBonBon · 16/01/2021 22:16

Name not babe!

Urgent, on a Saturday night?

NeedToKnow101 · 16/01/2021 22:17

I'm a fan of just a name brand too. Can't go wrong, unless your name is Ima Wanker or similar. If she doesn't have a good name, she can make one up.

When you say taken you aren't selecting a company name based on what's available as a .Co.uk are you?

I do this for a living, branding and naming workshops, so please ignore the domains.

You can add thexxx or underscores etc there is always a way around the domain, and most users now click straight from links rarely does anyone type in a full domain.

If she is going limited then she will have to register a business name and again you can trade with a different name.

So start with what suits, names, grandparents names, family words something that works for her and is a bit personal with a story.

We had a cleaning business called Gladys after her granny.

And always pretend to answer the phone and stay the name out loud.

Also it will most likely be the first name you thought of or the one you are using as a temporary name!

Good luck

Anything with slap in could work well because obviously it’s slang for makeup but it also means really good in current young person speak Grin

StealthRoast · 16/01/2021 22:46

Depending where you live you could call it “ made in “your town/city”

A bit like “made in Chelsea”
