Mirena coil

Just wondered if anyone could share their experiences of having a Mirena coil fitted please. I had mine fitted about 4 weeks ago, had my first period about 10 days ago but still having bleeding/discharge. I’ve also had very sore breasts for about 3 weeks. Anyone experience anything similar with theirs and did it settle down over the next few months?

I’ve had mine years. I remember in early days breast soreness was a feature. My periods stopped completely pretty much straight away though.

What you're describing sounds familiar. It took a couple of months to settle down for me.

I still had periods but they were much lighter. I had the coil fitted because of incredibly heavy and long periods.

Hello! Just wondered if anyone has any experiences of the Mirena coil fitted due to having a thicker endometrium?
