Finally watch Wonder Woman - now I'm angry (spoilers!)

Picture the scene: our hero is mid battle and struggling. The scene flips to the last conversation with the girl he fancies before she goes off to sacrifice herself and her saying that he can save the world then him seeing her death gives him the strength to fight back and defeat the female badly.

Personally I can't but that is, in reverse, what happens at the end of WW.

Incidently after the island where they have no choice there are three female character in total - WW herself and two minor ones who have a handful of lines between them (although to be fair Steve's secretary was best character in there!).

Empowering my arse.

Guess it's just me feels that way! Honestly, that scene where remembering Steve gives her hope could have been her mum or her General aunt or any of the other amazing women she grew up with.Angry

Are you on about WW84, shittest film I’ve seen for some time? Or the first one? Cos if you saw the first, believe me, it’s about a million times better than the 2nd.

Oh it was utterly dire.

Yes, I can’t believe we paid to rent it from Sky last night. Utterly tedious.

Watched Blithe Spirits tonight on Sky, enjoyed it a lot more.

I tried to watch it but gave up. I think the most dissapointing thing for me is that in the comics, wonderwoamn is gay. In the film I presume she gets together with the soilder?

It was the first one. I was so disappointed - it had been hyped up as strong women and the first female lead superhero film etc and it was still men pushing it. So much potential ignored.

Although I did like the comment about putting on glasses hiding that she was the most beautiful woman in the world.

At the end the soldier confesses his love but sacrifices himself to stop gas being launched, having told her he has to be the one to do it as "he can save the day but she can save the world". It was very noble and sickening. This inspired her to beat the bad guy....

I just couldn't get past David thewlis's bare chest. He's a great actor but should stay fully clothed thankyou. Envy not envy.

@QueenofLouisiana snap, my DH justified it saying it would have cost us £30 to go to our preferred not very local cinema. I was gutted. It was like a very stupid child’s film. I have lost all respect for Pedro Pascal. 😢
