i very rarely have them, the first time as a child, we spat out the seeds. i think this is how they are eaten, such the seeds, spit them out, but given how popular they are this can;t be normal?
do i have to swallow?

How could you do that? They're tiny.

Mumdiva99 · 16/01/2021 13:50

That was what we did as kids....ate them with a pin and spat out the seeds.

There is no reason to do that. Just eat them. I've watched some amazing videos on uTube of flash ways to open them.....but I just end up breaking into it....

oh videos on youtube, good idea @Mumdiva99

Why would you spit out the seeds? Confused

I eat it all, otherwise you just sucking out the juice.

StepOutOfLine · 16/01/2021 14:13

Cut it in half, turn the halves upside down and inside out and the fruits drop out. The juicy ones leave your kitchen looking like CSI should come and look for the body but they're fab.
We eat them every day in season and I've never even noticed they have seeds!

You just eat the seeds with a spoon, I mostly use in cooking though

StepOutOfLine · 16/01/2021 14:41

So what the OP is calling seeds is what I call the fruit?
What else would you eat if not those?
ConfusedGrin

I don’t, because I don’t want to eat the seeds and they’re too fiddly to just eat round...

Everyone else says the seeds though.
