Mattress is too soft for DP.

I'm hoping for advice or recommendations. I have a tempur memory foam mattress, on a sprung bed slats, which is perfect for me. I have an old injury, so have to be fairly careful with what I sleep on. DP is used to a firm mattress. He moved in with me last year, and is now struggling with my bed, and back ache. I have suggested we try a panel of ply or mdf between the mattress and the slats, to reduce the amount of flex, and make it firmer, just on his side.

Has anyone tried this? Or does anyone have any idea what else we can try? I really can't afford to replace the mattress yet, it's only a couple of years old.

Sorry I have no idea, but bumping for you

Yes, I've done this, l prefer a firmer mattress and my husband doesn't so a sheet of ply or MDF on my side works wonderfully well for us, It make a huge difference to my side and none to his.

You can mattresses where each side is different. I think Vispring do them?

I have this by accident (size of room) one half is on slats, the other on a solid bench and there is a noticeable difference to me.
