I've completed Air Plane Chefs and Cooking Fever nearly done with Primrose Lake. Previously enjoyed Sally's Salon, Doorman Story.

What else would I like? I don't really care for the ones where you have to match gems etc.

Define "rubbish"

Do you mean simple games to play?

As in simple (as in the rules are quick and easy to learn) but also challenging?

Match 3 games are generally good for this.

Fishdom is a match 3 game with a sort of bonus thing as the points and Prizes you gain in the match 3 part let you "buy" fish and ornaments etc to create a virtual aquarium I quite liked that for a while

There's the classic candy crush which I'm now stuck at level 506, must give it another go it's been ages.

I also play Tetris on my phone (keep getting to level 15 then crashing out level 16 has become something of a nemesis now)

Also old favourites solitaire and sudoku, the solitaire I play has a daily challenge game and also 3 daily goals eg win a game within 120 seconds - can be harder than it sounds!

I also play Reversi (othello) the basic rules are simple but like draughts and chess its a tactical game so it gets quite challenging.

In terms of long storyline games I used to love playing castle story which is like a renaissance fair type scenario, you set up your own town with farm plots and trees and animals, going fishing etc and there are villains to win over etc very gentle. I got to the top level but at that point it got quite boring. Changed to a new phone and haven't downloaded to this phone yet. There's also restaurant story where you build up and design your own restaurant and serve customers and there are seasonal recipes, decor and tasks etc also bakery story which is very similar but of course mostly sweet recipes. Both make you very hungry! Grin

What I'm mainly playing at the moment though are FarmVille 2 country escape and FarmVille tropic escape. Used to love farmville back in the day so had a look and I'm quite enjoying it.

I like tropic escape best as it's set on a tropical island with a beach and is very soothing setting.

Any of that what you're looking for?

Have you played any of the delicious emily series? Most recent one is emilys road trip i think.

Same maker as sally salon afaik

FiveNightsAtMummys · 18/01/2021 17:45

I've downloaded logo game I just wanted something I could pick up and play whilst watching tv and not have to think too much.

@Graphista thank you. I suppose games that DH refers to as rubbish but I get quite addicted to.

I prefer the theme ones. I don't mind the match 3 if there's a story alongside but find them a bit repetitive.

I must try FarmVille, haven't had a go of that one. The restaurant one sounds good though, I loved cooking fever but it got to a point where it was impossible to progress without buying lots of coins/diamonds.

Seaport and trainstation 2 are two games I'm currently playing and don't need real money unless you want to.

Clockmaker is match 3 but pretty interesting

Klondike is really good. I've been playing for about six months and have loads of "maps" left to complete.

You own a patch of land where you can make things to sell (eg. food, tools, furniture) and grow crops etc. for energy. You then go off to different lands and complete quests - some quests require you to make things in your "home" - eg. tables, and you have to find the products needed, make those, then make the final product.

There are lots of little side quests you can complete to get energy, gems and resources. It's VERY addictive and energy refreshes quickly too.

Graphista · 18/01/2021 20:54

Klondike is one I've been considering.

I too never spend real money on games, but I'm quite patient so don't mind waiting for lives or to build up stocks of gems or keys or whatever the in game currency is, I see that as part of the challenge

Lily's garden sounds appealing too
