I received this for Christmas and it’s lovely. However can anyone recommend where I can get the chocolate flakes from apart from Hotel Chocolat. I’ve seen similar on Amazon but prefer a recommendation if at all possible x

We've found the hotel chocolat ones are the best, have you tried powder also? Whittards works amazingly! Cheaper flakes are too weak we found!

I get Knightsbridge Belgian Milk chocolate. it comes in a bag, I saved a empty sachet to measure out to begin with, but now just chuck a load of flakes in Grin

I just pop any hot chocolate powder in there. I keep the posh stuff for me and the kids get the Options powder.

Makes an excellent hot chocolate so don't be fooled into buying their own brand stuff unless you want it

Thank you everyone. It only arrived yesterday (QVC allowed DH to order it, then said they didn’t have enough in time for Christmas 🤨)
I didn’t think about options!!

Thanks for the recommendation.

We're skint at the mo and I had £3.50 left on an Amazon voucher so just bought the Knightsbridge one for £3 Grin

Pendragon drinks do flakes much more cheaply than Hotel Chocolat, and have a wider variety of flavours.

I’ve got some dark chocolate in my online shopping, I’m going to grate it in the food processor and see if that works.

We use Green and Blacks powder in ours.

TheMawisbraw · 15/01/2021 20:12

I just use twinnings or Cadbury’s powder in mine, infact I mostly just wizz the milk and pour over powder in cup

Phineasthegreat · 15/01/2021 20:14

Pendragon flakes are amazingly good. Highly recommend

perfect Smile

To keep them fresh we tip the bag in an old Douwe Egburts Jar, and stuck the Knightsbridge label on it.

Anonanon12 · 15/01/2021 20:28

I use green and browns hot chocolate powder in mine too, prefer it to the flakes as it's a bit richer

Borntobeamum · 15/01/2021 21:21

umpteen do you have the link for the chocolate at £3 as I can only find it at £6.95!

I’ve also had the pendragon drinks flakes & was impressed. I’ve tried the Black Forest, the pumpkin chai & the toasted marshmallow flavours.
You don’t need much as it’s quite sweet.
