Lumpy breast tissue

I've noticed a very slightly tender small area of harder lumpy tissue in one breast

It's not a specific lump but rather feels bumpy if that makes sense.

Doctor phoning me next week

I'm pretty sure it's nothing to worry about and hormonal (I'm 42) but it's on my mind sometimes. Sometimes I wonder if it's in my head! I have to press to feel it if that makes sense

I have the same, have had it checked and it really is just tissue. It's been there a couple of years. Try not to worry yourself unnecessarily but do get it checked out.

Thanks @SaltyAF

Mine are particularly lumpy. I was called back after my first mammogram (not my original first one but my first this time (iuswim)}.

I had an inflammed cyst.

I have had many lumps checked over the years. Hopefully they’ll refer you to the clinic to get it scanned and put your mind at rest x

OP I am pleased you've spoken to the doctor. I had the same and was worried, but the care and attention I received was absolutely first class - mine was hormonal fatty tissue.

By getting it checked out you know whether it's an issue or not, and that's far better than worrying unnecessarily. Of course, if any treatment is needed it will then be offered.

Following my experience I thought how lucky we are to have access to the NHS. If anyone reading this thread has noticed anything please, please call your doctor and don't be scared.
