Is now a really bad time to deliberately have a baby?

One year on, still in this slog, still in lockdowns, no clear path out of the woods just yet.

Would I be daft? I come from a lucky place of not having to worry about job safety for myself or DH, our house is secure etc but time is on my side and I could afford to wait a few years. The only pressing reason to have one sooner rather than later is for the age gap I'd like between my first and second/last.

Personally I'd go ahead. You can't put life in hold indefinitely. I would really hope things look better in 9+ months. Plus as a second time mum you won't have that many appointments etc in the early days, so hopefully won't feel your input is too lacking compared to normal.

If I was in your shoes from what u have said I would go for it. If ur finally secure that's the main big thing out of the way as In u won't have to worry so yeah go for it and I mean this nicely but u don't know how long it'll take to get preg it could take a few months so go for it and see how u get on

Similar situation here and we decided to go for it, it actually took us longer to conceive this time when we were kind of just expecting it to happen straight away like previous pregnancies. So that's also something to think about. We weren't prepared to put our life on hold any longer when who knows how long it could be for things to return to 'normal'

I would say go for it. In 9 + months things will hopefully be different.
