I didn't have a lot to lose and my BMI is well within the healthy weight range, I wanted to lose about half a stone to get to the mid point.
I've messed around with various diets over the years and never succeeded but this time I decided I'd just stop snacking. Not rocket science but I think we get encouraged to snack, use low fat or "healthy" snacks too much, the calories add up and for me, eat out of boredom or for comfort.
Anyway, I've eaten good meals. Home cooked with lots of veg but occasionally fried or cooked with cream, definitely not diet meals. I've had chocolate or cake most days but only at the end of a meal.
I put off breakfast until mid morning, so I suppose it's a version of 16:8, more 14:10 and I must be eating less, but actually once I just decided that eating is only done at mealtimes, it hasn't been hard at all.
I'm 50 and now weigh less than I have in decades.
As I say nothing original there, I just thought I'd share in case it's helpful for anyone.
