How much upheaval for central heating installation?

My house has old storage heaters so it’s being upgraded to gas central heating.

The boiler is going in the cupboard in the bathroom. There is already a gas supply. 2 bed house, radiator in every room, 2 in the living room.
Loft is being insulated too.
I live with my 2.5 year old.

What kind of upheaval/time frame am I looking at? My support bubble have offered that we stay there but is it worth it?

Any experiences welcome.

As a side note, I don’t have an electric shower. I mainly use the bath as the water pressure from the tank is so weak it’s just a dribble (shower head attached to bath taps) will the boiler give any stronger a water pressure? Just curious. Thanks in advance

If it's a brand new system then loads. They will need to take the floor boards up. At least three days probably.

Two years ago we had storage heaters. All gone and lovely gas central heating now.l had to get gas supply from road to house first.
It was installed the first week in October, and took one week. 8 radiators, boiler in garage. Concrete floors so pipes could not go underfloor. But large bungalow so had men crawling about in loft and running pipes down walls and inside cupboards.
It went absolutely fine and was not too disruptive to live with.
It is lovely. Ask the firm doing it how disruptive it will be for you?

I'm currently having my combi boiler replaced and the gas plumber was here from 8am until about 1pm. The electrician is here now fitting the thermostat and the joiner boxing the pipes in (HA house).

A full new system can take a couple of days apparently and it might not include time for any problems they find.
