I can’t believe I just clicked on this thread hoping you were abroad somewhere and I could live vicariously through you!
I have a major phobia of dentists which requires diazepam and I’ve been putting off my crown for a year (covid was my excuse). If it’s not too horrendous an experience can you update me so I can prepare myself please?

oh it was fine - sorry to have upset you - had an injection then she drilled the old filling out and scanned the tooth and area to be sent to lab for the crown to be made then she put a temporary crown on it. Took about an hour. Mine was 10 months overdue. Felt very safe. I was the only patient - waited in car till called in and wore mask till the last minute. Dentist and nurse head to toe in ppe. Am glad I have finally started it. Do have an injection though. Mine has just worn off - had it 11.30. No pain though. My dentist is very caring and lovely and said if I need her to stop just to raise my hand.
