30 weeks pregnant and stomach solid

Hi

This might sound daft but...

I am 30 weeks pregnant with second baby (first born healthy and now a bouncing 1 yr old). I have never been so uncomfortable, my whole stomach is constantly rock solid. I can't sit or lie down in any comfy position.

Been checked at hospital, baby is fine and they think its excess water.

Is there any advice anyone could give?

Sorry no advice, just bumping in the hope someone else has experienced this. It must be so uncomfortable for you 💐

You say you’ve been checked, was it a scan? Could baby be breach?

I remember that solid tight feeling when the baby was turning around. I had a couple of days of it when baby was turning head down and I was so uncomfortable as they decided to take a rest when they were in the breach position.

If this is a possibility then there is time for baby to move, after 32 weeks you can try the spinning babies method.

No wasn't a scan, midwife felt bump and said he is breeched. I'll Google spinning baby method. Thank you.

I thought it might be. It’s a really uncomfortable feeling but there is plenty of time for him to get his head down.
As well as the spinning babies method, when you’re on your hands and knees, rock back and forth.
Take a look at some pregnancy yoga videos and try and sit correctly for posture (time to get a big yoga ball inflated).

Sitting slouchy on a sofa with your spine curled all helps to drop baby into the wrong position.

Remember their spine and head are their heaviest bit so you want them to drop down and their back to your belly.
