Dyson V11 owners, please talk to me

I'm sorely tempted by the V11, the reviews seem great but the cost is somewhat eye watering.
If you have one, are you happy with it? Well, actually I'd expect you to be ecstatic with it at that price. Is it miles better than the cheaper dysons?

I never buy a Dyson because of Brexit and taking huge amounts of healthcare funding and delivering nothing.

I always remember to flagellate when I put the Dyson round as penance.

We've recently swapped an old upright Dyson Animal to the Dyson Absolute v11.

It's good! Definitely performs better with the right head for the surface.

My only two gripes are that I've had to buy a plastic gadget from Amazon that holds the on-button down, otherwise my forearm cramps up doing the whole house. The other issue is that whilst it can pick up Christmas tree needles, they block it up and you have to take it apart to clear the blockage. Only an issue once a year.

My dog is a shedder, big time, see pic. I’ve had 4 Dysons, each better than the previous, but the V11 with the fluffy head just picks all the fluff up from hard floors and doesn’t need untangling.

As you can guess, it comes out about 3 times a day, but only for about a minute each time to pick up the hair.

Previous one was a V6, there is no comparison, it is far superior.

Mine is fantastic. I used the smaller head on the stair carpet and was astounded at the difference from my v7. We cleaned the bedroom with the v7 and then went over it again with the v11. It picked up so much that the old one left behind. It's worth the money. I bought it with PayPal interest free credit.

Thanks so much, just seen all the replies from today. I think I will take the plunge, as suggested I can get it interest free so that definitely eases the pain

Seeing the pp about untangling hair from the rollers, I have just bought a Shark vacuum with anti hair wrap technology and it properly works! You can actually pick out the ball of hair from the 'dust cup'.

I can't see why anyone would buy a Dyson now tbf. Let alone pay that kind of money for one.

Well I was thinking about a Shark but there was a lengthy thread here last week slagging them off. All the shark owners on the thread hated them and said the anti hair wrap thing didn’t work amongst numerous other complaints. 🤷‍♀️

So now I’m confused.

Confused I didn't see that thread, but it works for me and we had to replace our Sebo because it kept getting jammed up with hair. We have a corded stick, if that makes any difference.

@BonnesVacances that's partly why I started the thread. I find the which is best threads just so confusing, as people clearly feel very differently about the different options and I go round in circles. So I thought I'd narrow it down to one and just try and get a fair representation of peoples experiences.

Can you get it from Amazon or JL where you can return it if you're not happy with it?

I long for the days when you used to be able to walk into Curry's and choose one based on price and colour. Grin

I have this and it's fantastic, comes with good number of attachments inc a brush for dusting that also has a sharp end for cutting hair out of the roller

I've got a v11 absolute. Partly because I've got pets and also, once you've spent an eye watering amount of money you might as well get the one with all the tools.

I love it, it's brilliant.
