I live in UK, my daughter lives in California, USA. She's having such a miserable time right now so I would really like to send her a gift. I'm shielding so cannot go to the post office and anyway, given how the post is it could take ages to be delivered if I send a package from here. So could any of you suggest any online stores in USA that I could place an order from to send directly to her? She loves crafts, gardening and homemaking. I dont really want to use Amazon if I can help it.

Amazon.com is your best bet, even if you aren't happy about them, they are easily the best choice.

Hi PeoplePleaser57....I live in California and am happy to help by ordering for you if you need that.
Which part of California is she in? I could suggest local stores if I had a better idea. Sorry she is struggling.

I'm in the UK and recently sent my sister in law a box of bits and bobs and treats from www.happyboxstore.com. It took forever to arrive though using USPS standard shipping so I'd suggest premium delivery would be better.

Also, if you wanted to send her a card to cheer her up Moonpig send to US addresses for an additional £1 on top of the cost of the card.

Other than that, I've used Amazon for gifting to hee and my brother so will follow this thread with interest!

Hello! I live in the US and mum is in the UK, so we have a bit of experience doing this. I’ve just found a site called Pop Shop America which has some crafty things on there which your daughter might like. Also, there’s a food shop called Parker’s which is based in the US but does proper British food - sausage rolls, scotch eggs, proper sausages, pasties, etc. All things that are impossible to find here otherwise! My mum got me a box of things from Parker’s for Christmas and it was lovely to have a taste of home. They also accept UK debit cards, which not all US sites do. Good luck!

I second (or third) etsy. Anything I've ever ordered from there has arrived quickly and is unique and good quality. Crate and barrel and williams Sonoma have nice homewares too

I had never heard of parkers. Going to check it it out now

Target allows you to buy from a UK address and send to a US address. But not the other way round
