Need flowers delivered tomorrow! Recommendations please

Uh oh, just remembered a very important occasion tomorrow and I’m utterly unprepared! I’ve never ordered flowers online before so I’m clueless.

Where can I get nice flowers for next day delivery? I’m not a fan of those flat-pack flowers so they must be delivered as a bouquet.

I’ve heard so many horror stories of bouquets turning up looking limp and lifeless so I’m hoping to get some personal recommendations.

Also not expensive

Next?

In this current climate it would be far nicer to support a local independent business. Can you google florists in the town you need to send the flowers to and phone one of them? You will also be able to get something much more personal.

@sidsgranny That’s a wonderful idea and I can’t believe I didn’t think of it!

If a local florist fails (our locals seem to be closed) I can recommend eflorist. Have used them a number of times and the recipients always say they are lovely (as an aside, discount code GA12 got me 12% off on Saturday...)

Bloom and wild

Chambored · 12/01/2021 13:24

I second Bloom and Wild. Lovely bouquets that always seem to last a good few weeks too.

Newwayofthinking · 12/01/2021 13:25

I had this just before Christmas and could find nowhere online which delivered.

So I Googled the area where the person lived and rang a local flower shop they were fantastic and delivered a bouquet the next day.

JerichosPenisInADeadChickHat · 12/01/2021 13:26

Bloom & Wild are fantastic. Really nice letterbox flowers delivered with all the instructions for looking after each individual stem.

However, I'd second ringing a local florist on this occasion so you can guarantee delivery tomorrow!

If anyone does want to try bloom and wild though my referral link below gets you £10 off (and me £10 off Smile)

I've ordered with local florists a few times over the last year and they've been absolutely brilliant each time, after having had a few misses with Next the last couple of times I ordered (which they sorted out in all fairness to them, it just wasn't ideal).

purdypuma · 12/01/2021 15:08

My mum had some stunning flowers from Bloom & Wild when she had her hip op. Also had a beautiful Christmas themed bouquet from M&S.

beetreebird · 12/01/2021 15:09

The best trick I use is google the nearest flower shop to your recipient and order from them, nicer than interflora, very likely can do next day delivery out until closing time, unlike online.

PuffinParty · 12/01/2021 15:16

Thank you everyone! I’m going to try local florists but you’ve given me some great ideas if the local option doesn’t work out for whatever reason.

I ordered some a few days ago; none of the local or national companies were offering next day because I remembered too late. I found Direct2florist.com which was more expensive, but did do next day, so used them. I was surprised to see they used a florist that had stated on their website that next day wasn't an option. With that in mind, I'd be tempted just to phone a local company on the day you want them and see if they can help, rather than pay the premium.
