Unused Microsoft account

HollyBollyBooBoo · 12/01/2021 11:08

We have a cheapo laptop that doesn't work and sits in a cupboard (needs disposing of). We subscribed to Microsoft and every Feb they charge £54 to my credit card.

Given we don't use the laptop I don't want to keep paying the £54 but how do I stop it when I don't know any account details (none of us can remember anything!)

Help please!

Can you phone the card company and cancel ?

I had something similar with an old Norton account. I just cancelled my card.
It's annoying to have to re enter the new details with a couple of places, but not the end of the world.

Good idea, I'll call the cc company and see if they can cancel it from their end.
