Due DC2 in the spring. Looking for a family car that fits the following criteria:
- can be bought second hand with reasonable mileage (up to maybe 50k?) perhaps 3-5 years old for no more than £10k
- eco friendly, gets good mpg. Not Diesel.
- decent size. Need boot storage for double buggy plus various paraphernalia. DC1 has some additional needs and may need buggy or walking assistance up until 5+
- me and DH are tall with long legs. Need something where the interior space is also large, so we can have two 360 car seats in the back without losing all our leg room. Family cars now seem to be very tall in head height but lacking in length eg Nissan Quashqai (can’t spell it).
- good safety rating.
- would quite like some mod cons like sat nav but not essential. Don’t care about parking sensors etc.
