Something lovely

I need a treat. I've had Covid, my family had Covid including my elderly mother who I cared for. I work full time with 4 teens and I'm shattered. I've had bad news about someone dying today. I'm done. I'd like a lovely treat to try and focus on something positive. I have about £100 to spend but could do more for something that's worth it. What would you buy?

I'd buy something luxurious that I could use regularly, like a cashmere dressing gown or jumper, or silky pyjamas, or high thread-count pillowcases and new pillows.

And, I'm so sorry to hear about the time you've had. An alternative might be a cleaner to give you time off to spend as you would like?

I’m so sorry to hear that, hope you are all on the mend.Flowers
What sort of things do you like? Are you a jewellery person? I would like some antique earrings!!
Think about what would give you joy.

Thanks both. I feel like I'm not sure what I like. I don't think about it that much. Luxurious pjs sound nice. Not sure about jewellery as I don't really have any other than cheap bits. But something to think of. Thank you

Lovely perfume? I impulse bought a perfume I’ve always liked recently (a 40th birthday present to myself) and I spray a little any day I need a lift.

A cleaner is also a good call though.

So sorry to hear you’ve been having such a hard time.
I would spend it on my hobby as I get a lot of pleasure from it or as previous poster suggested some really lovely bed linen

RickOShay · 11/01/2021 22:55

So something for you or something for your house?
I also would like an ethical feather duvet and pillows, so I can lounge luxuriously Grin

A smidgen of some perfume you've been eying for ages?

Half a case of wine?

A couple of beautiful crystal wine glasses?

Sorry you've been having such a rough time.
