This year has not quite been an unmitigated disaster and in many ways we're very lucky. Our LG was born last February exactly 6 weeks before lockdown. We had shared parental leave but I pretty much lost my leave to lockdown. DH was able to enjoy some of the summer easing up of restrictions.
We've both been back in work since October and this week have cancelled the weekend away we'd planned for her first birthday. I know we're lucky that we still have jobs and can work from home/she won't remember. We can also see my parents with the under 1 bubble and so far nursery is still open. We've lost my twin this year (not covid related) and are now in the WFH juggle, I'm just so tired of hoping for things to get better. Where can I find some positives and motivation?
