Anyone had tooth infection that tasted sweet?

My left lower wisdom tooth tastes sweet. No other teeth taste odd. Has anyone else experienced similar?

The sweet taste has got sweeter in that corner of my mouth. Bleugh!

Thank you very much @IncyWincyGrownUp. It is not like a normal sweet in mouth taste as it seems confined to just the lower left corner of my mouth. It is strong enough to be driving me crazy and if persists I will try and get a dentist to see me. It feels more toothy than a general issue if that makes sense.
