Sweet Freedom syrups. Is it just me?

Anyone on here use Sweet Freedom syrups or is it just me? No-one I know has heard of them 🤔.

I love them, I want to own the entire collection. I bought the popcorn one yesterday and just had a drizzle on my porridge and it’s gorgeous! I LOVE the cinnamon one, it’s my favourite. 😍

I use the flavours ones on porridge and the light/dark syrup in tea!

If you use them, I’d love to hear your opinion on the flavoured ones and what do you use them in!!

They're delicious.

I love an orange spice hot chocolate with steamed milk 😋😋😋

This reads like an ad.

Also, use the brownie syrup in actual brownies. Squeeze it on the raw mix, marble it through a little bit 👍

Dontsayyouloveme · 10/01/2021 12:54

Bekilted totally NOT an ad, just genuine curiosity!

00100001 ooo they had the choc brownie one and I was v tempted! I’m healthy eating in attempted to combat menopause weight gain, so won’t be making brownies anytime soon sadly! I really fancy trying the caramel one which they had, and the coffee one, but I think they’d have to be used over ice cream so didn’t buy them! 😩.

I bought the gingerbread one before Xmas but haven’t tried it yet, overdosed on gingerbread biscuits so I need a break! Lol x

I grabbed the backwards facing bottle of the chocolate one that was stood next to the tomato ketchup and squirted it all over my egg and chips thinking it was brown sauce. Totally ruined my tea 🤢

ByTheNine · 10/01/2021 12:58

I tried the caramel one in coffee but it was too thick and just settled at the bottom.

Mogwaimug · 10/01/2021 13:01

I can never find it anywhere apart from asda where its £3.50 a bloody bottle. Will stick with full fat carnation sauces for £1 thanks.

Seems like they're popular then. I like the skinny food co. products, haven't tried sweet freedom yet but could be swayed. They sound good!
HalfSizeMe · 10/01/2021 13:03

I've tried the chocolate orange one

Greenteandchives · 10/01/2021 13:04

Aldi and Lidl usually have them.

TickledOnion · 10/01/2021 13:06

We have the chocolate one (when I can find it) squirted over berries as a quick dessert.

Check out Aldi, they're often in the grocery section of the Aisle of Dreams.
Dontsayyouloveme · 10/01/2021 13:09

Mogwaimug yeah Aldi gave about five flavours in at the moment. Lidl had about 4 flavours in in December but they may be sold out now!! They’re usually about £2.49 or £2.99.

Has anyone tried the coconut one? I love coconut but never bought it when I’ve seen it in the shops 🙄

I used the cinnamon one on the low carb christmas pudding I made, drizzled poured it over when it was warm and let is soak in, was delicious. The chocolate one is nice on thick greek yoghurt too, almost makes it like ice cream.

I can't get to an Aldi so usually buy them on Amazon

AllDoneIn · 10/01/2021 13:24

I chucked a bit in my coffee yesterday for a nice mocha 😁 Where did you get the cinnamon one?

Dontsayyouloveme · 10/01/2021 13:25

bushtailadventures the cinnamon is my absolute fave! I stock up when it’s in the shops as it’s a little cheaper than Amazon!

Great idea about the Greek yoghurt! I think I’ll go get the caramel and choc brownie one now I can put it in my low fat yoghurt!!! 👍🏻🤤

AllDoneIn it was in Lidl before Xmas!! You can get it from Amazon but they are usually a £1 or so more expensive!

Yes, I love them too. Not the Mint one tho. I have porridge oats microwaved with oat milk and chopped apple and topped with cinnamon syrup for breakfast most days.

picklemewalnuts · 10/01/2021 13:32

I like them all! I don't use them much though- not in coffee or hot choc, don't have icecream, so that leaves porridge and I on,y get limited amounts of that, sadly.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 10/01/2021 13:32

I'm pretty sure that I have a bottle of this at the back of the cupboard somewhere that I bought out of curiosity and never opened. What's the sweetener in it?

ThePricklySheep · 10/01/2021 13:33

You don’t work for them my arse. Grin

I was really disappointed when I bought one without reading the nutritional information first.
I'm a type 1 diabetic and have to stick to a low carb/ very low sugar diet. I thought these would be suitable.

They are full of 'natural sugars' but still sugars. They really spiked my blood sugars and I had to throw them away.
Such a shame as they taste delicious, like most things I can't have.
