How often do you name change?

I change all the time 😂

Lots of reasons.. mainly because I want to stay anonymous and dread someone I know IRL guessing who I am. ( highly unlikely really).

Every few months, I think I might be ready for another change. I never read the posters names so wouldn't notice any changes or work any true identities out, but other people do apparently.

As Livid said, I over share then have to nc. I nc a lot, every few months maybe.

I've only ever done it once, with a really sensitive thread. I think if anyone from my 'real life' saw this, they'd be able to work out who I was. But I don't post anything that's a lie, just the truth, and I don't think there's anything wrong with telling the truth.

Why? Cos I was online stalked after I broke up with someone in RL, police involvement, phone no.changed, etc....

How do you change names?

How often? Every couple of weeks.

Why? Because i like to do extensive research on particular posters on some threads, as it often really helps you build a picture of their general attitude, and I don’t want to afford others the same luxury

All the time! I might go and count all my previous usernames and see what it adds to

Just as an aside, did you know that when you are logged on and want to reply to a post you can type any of your previous user names into the "username" field and your comment will show that name.

It reverts to your "current" one the next time you post.

Quite useful when you want to post a quick reply under a different name but can't be arsed going into your profile.

Never and I seldom notice others user names.

I name change if I want to start a post about something personal that I don’t want coming out IRL (rare), the rest of the time no. I am who I am, real-life friends discovering my “secret identity” doesn’t phase me.

I don't name change as often as I should do...

Same here, for the same reason as you. I daren’t count how many times....

The main reason, I meant.

I am a born over sharer so change regularly

I’ve changed once (I couldn’t remember my log in details!)
I wouldn’t post anything I wouldn’t say in RL.
