I have done a search but can't find a thread about this (if there is one, can someone please link).

It is a weekly competition where four dog groomers compete to win best dog groomer.

Though I am more of a cat lover than dogs, I loved it! Dog grooming is something I know nothing about so I learned a lot, the dogs were adorable and the teddy bear cuts made them so cute. Looking forward to next week's episode.

Here is this week's episode.

@ketosavedmylife loved this programme too. Was reading that the co-host Stanley was a rescued dog from Battersea dogs home.

I don’t even particularly like dogs all that much but I thought this programme was just lovely! My dd who is ten loved it and was such a nice family tv programme to watch!

I loved it, and I can’t wait for the malamutes next week!
I found Sheridan Smith a bit annoying, she’s trying too hard to make it funny.

we had this here in Australia last year, with Rebel Wilson hosting.

Oooh, an Australian version. I'll see if it's on youtube.

I enjoyed it but was very put off by the groomers letting the dogs lick their faces all the time!

Loved it. My old dog groomer used to come to me, she did it as a hobby really (she was a good friend) but gave up as she was moving away. Before she left she showed me how to groom my Scottie dog and I've done him ever since.
I was eagerly watching for tips. Sadly git dog doesn't keep as still as their dog models!

bookworm14 · 09/01/2021 18:36

Thanks for the tip - i am now watching with dog-loving DD aged 5!

Watched it too and really wanted to get a dog after it! Grin (Won't though, not the right time.) The teddy bear cuts were so cute. Bear

I too would love a dog but it isn't the right time for me, either, sadly.

It's a thing dog people allow, isn't it. Having said that, I kiss my cat (on the head) and let him dribble on me when he is kneading Grin (and I know he's been licking his bum).

I watched this, but as a non-dog person, was confused by certain things. Would a dog really be so happy to be groomed at length by someone they had never met before? Genuinely not sure!

Mydogisagentleman · 09/01/2021 20:18

I’ve got this recorded.
I am mostly interested in Bedlington terriers and am hoping to get a tip or two.
Our lovely groomers are closed for the moment, I got a set of dog clippers in July.
Our extremely tolerant dog looked very raggedy after my attempt
