If you had to send back all but 3 of the non essentials that you bought last year what would you keep?

For me:
Roomba robot vacuum cleaner
Merrell hiking trainers (so much more comfy and waterproof than my old ones)
This dressing gown from Reserved (perfect level of cosiness). Currently on sale in XL

An air tent.

Maths factor subscription. I no longer need to teach maths, carol voderman does it for me.

caringcarer · 10/01/2021 02:05

Weighted blanket and heated over blanket throw for snuggling on sofa.

SpudsandGravy · 10/01/2021 13:46
@SpudsandGravy my Brompton is looking very sad. Hasn't been used for 9 months ☹️
:-( Thanks

devildeepbluesea · 10/01/2021 13:52

Naked Wines subscription. I pay £20 per month into my account and then every 4 months I get a case of beautiful wines delivered. Literally never had a bad bottle.

BritBox. All the stuff I love watching, going back decades.

DD's iPad. Finally my own is my own again.

Padded gilet from MandM Direct. I wear it every single day.

champagneplanet · 10/01/2021 13:53

A tourer caravan

Trampoline (for the DCs)

Walking boots

Horsemad · 10/01/2021 14:08

Just the one thing: our wool duvet - not sure how we managed without it, tbh! 😁

alliejay81 · 10/01/2021 14:09

Disney plus
A projector plus fire stick for the family, we now have a mini home cinema!
Enough desks for each member of the family
iPad

Got home pods too for Xmas, but too early to tell if they're worth it!

Most of these lists are very reflective of the pandemic!

alecguinnessgenuineclass · 10/01/2021 14:12

Liberty advent calendar
Some beautiful Murano glass tumblers for G&Ts
Fleecy tracksuit bottoms

Wynston · 10/01/2021 14:30

@Tier10 we need you to share!

stargirl1701 · 10/01/2021 14:34

Yoto players for DC. We bought one for DD1 but it was so good ended up buying another for DD2. We didn't buy any preloaded cards for it as we already have a lot of audio books.

Sorrel boots for me. Warm feet! LIV bike. It's so good to have a bike that actually fits me.

DH would say curry cook books I think.

TenCornMaidens · 10/01/2021 16:37

@Tier10 another one asking for your hair curler recommendation please - my dd is 14 soon and curling her long hair takes her FOREVER so would like advice!

Tier10 · 10/01/2021 16:47

Here you are ladies.

Sorry it’s not a proper link.

Tier10 · 10/01/2021 16:50

I curl my hair, turn up head upside down if you see what I mean, hairspray. Then spray all over lightly and the curls don’t drop at all.

FindHungrySamurai · 10/01/2021 17:27

Nintendo Ringfit
A couple of warm soft long length T shirts from museum shops - just nice to have something new.
All the theatre tickets from shows I went to see in February.

Doihavetogotoworkdotcom1 · 10/01/2021 17:28

Heated throw

VanillaSpiceCandle · 10/01/2021 17:36

Sewing machine beginning a new hobby, bean to cup coffee machine as we can’t go to coffee shops and woollen walking socks. Will never go back to wearing normal socks for hiking now.

CuteOrangeElephant · 10/01/2021 17:50

Triclimb plus slide. Basically an extremely expensive wooden triangle that is a firm favourite of the crunchy mummy crowd. Panic bought at the start of lockdown for my then two year old DD. But she plays with it every day so it's been a solid investment.

Just Dance 2020 with an unlimited subscription. I hate exercise usually but this is so fun I barely notice it

Pyrex glass baking tray. Where has that been all my life?! It gets so beautifully clean in the dishwasher and it fits my tart tin perfectly.

Bluewavescrashing · 10/01/2021 17:57

DM patent boots

Hanging garden chair

Arctic parka from Mountain Warehouse

MyOwnPrivatePaddlingPool · 10/01/2021 17:57

Our massive paddling pool that got us through the first lockdown - see username!

My salomon hiking trainers, comfiest footwear ever and great for walking hills.

Our VR headset which is getting us through this lockdown. I'm having so much more fun in the virtual world than the real world right now.
