What am I doing wrong with my aeropress? Grounds everywhere!

More often than not as I'm pressing down something sort of gives way and I end up with grounds all over my cup. I don't know what I'm doing wrong!

Too much pressure which bursts the filter. I think the metal reusable ones are more durable.
