Just that really - loved the series and provided escapism in these trying times...and I think series 1 only covered the first book?

Are they good? Georgette Heyer like?

I downloaded a sample from Amazon. It was ok but nowhere near georgette heyer standard and the vernacular was very modern.

I watched the series and enjoyed it but was somewhat irritated by ladies doing things that I'm sure (having read so much GH) they wouldn't have done.

I'd say try the sample from Amazon and see what you think.

The books are historical romances, they aren't historical fiction. So imagine a fantasy historical world. Same as the show. Its a fantastical imagining. They aren't Heyer level as they are romance so the building up of the relationship is the key and there are sex scenes. The first book is what the first season is based on. Each season of the show should follow each of the books and next book is Anthony's. Almost every key player in Bridgerton read the books and its fun seeing all the nods to it throughout the show and see characters cross over.
