I love watching documentaries. Recent recommendations would be:

Grasp the Nettle
Être et Avoir
Born Talking

Can you recommend some good documentaries?

Oh wow, just had a look at Night and Fog. That’ll be one I save for when I’m in the right mindset to deal with it. Thanks for the recommendations.

Thanks to a work subscription I've got into them in the last year. My faves have been
Stuffed (taxidermy!)
Meru (mountain climbing)
Eames: The architect and the painter
Dear Mr Watterson (Calvin & Hobbes)
Elstree 1976 (Star Wars bit part actors lives before, during, after)

Blackfish is one of my favourite documentaries. Really powerful.

The Great Buster (about Buster Keaton). It’s available on Sky Arts catch-up at the moment.

Love LOVE a good Doc.

Recent ones I've enjoyed:

The Dawn Wall (climbing, but you don't have to care about climbing)
Athlete A
Tell Me Who I Am.
Fyre

For True Crime enthusiasts, 'Abducted in Plain Sight' is hard to beat for forehead slapping disbelief.

Long time favourites:

King of Kong
Man on a Wire
Blackfish
Touching the Void
Amy
Free Solo
Grey Gardens
How to Survive a Plague

Honourable mentions to:
Free Solo
Capturing the Freidmans
Man on a Wire
Queen of Versailles

This is fab. I’ve seen a few that have been mentioned on the thread but so far most I haven’t seen.

I’ve been meaning to watch Grey Gardens, thanks for the reminder!

I will also add that “Crumb” is well worth a watch if you like a peek into the lives of strange people who exist on the fringes of society.
